The County Endowment Fund Program, Annual Report
The Iowa Council of Foundations (ICoF) and the Iowa Gaming Association (IGA) are releasing their joint annual report to the legislature and many other key stakeholders this week. It is entitled "Building Iowa's Communities Through Philanthropy: A Snapshot of the 2011-2012 County Endowment Fund Program."

Mo Hyder Elected 2013 Iowa Gaming Association Board Chair
Mo Hyder, Vice President & General Manager, for Rhythm City, an Isle of Capri Casino property in Davenport, was elected Chairman of the Iowa Gaming Association, (IGA) for 2013 at its annual board of directors meeting. Hyder previously served as the Vice-Chairman and is the Chairman of the Finance Committee for the IGA.

For the 15th Year Iowa’s Commercial Casinos Highlight Responsible Gaming Education Awareness
DES MOINES (July 30, 2012) –Iowa’s 18 commercial casinos that are members of the Iowa Gaming Association (IGA) are All In For Responsible Gaming, which is the theme of this year’s Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW). During the week of July 30 through August 3 the gaming industry will focus on advocating responsible gaming through educating and engaging their communities and citizens. This is the 15th consecutive year that the gaming industry has held events to promote a proactive responsible gaming message. Employees, family, friends and casino customers will discuss and learn to know the odds of all casino games and learn the steps to playing responsibly.

Community foundations in the eighty-five counties that do not hold a state issued gaming license play a vital role in supporting a wide-range of charitable needs across our state thanks to the County Endowment Fund Program.
This Program (created by the Iowa Legislature through a percentage of the commercial casinos’ gaming tax revenues) is creating a strong community foundation infrastructure in Iowa leveraging additional, private contributions that will provide charitable support now and forever.
