CO-OP LINEMEN TURN TIDE IN ALL-NIGHT STORM BATTLE
Electric cooperative crews worked all night in an all-out effort to end thousands of power outages caused by heavy snowfall form Winter Storm Rocky. After a frustrating day that saw outage numbers go the wrong way, 12 electric cooperatives had more than 40,000 members without power going into Tuesday evening, Feb. 26.

HEAVY SNOW CAUSES OUTAGES FOR ELECTRIC CO-OPS
Heavy snow from the latest winter storm to strike Missouri caused outages for electric cooperatives across central, western and northern Missouri. Crews battled the outages throughout the night and had many members back on before they realized they were out.

All-night Effort Restores Power to Many
Electric cooperatives in southeast Missouri worked through the night to restore power in an area of the state pounded by the latest winter storm. Ice on lines, falling trees and wind caused outages to peak at around 20,000 for three electric cooperatives. As of 7 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, approximately 6,800 members were without power.

Restoration Efforts Continue for Electric Co-ops in Southeast Missouri
Thousands of Missourians had their lights back on Friday as electric cooperatives in southeast Missouri continued to make progress on restoring power in the wake of the Winter Storm “Q.” As of 3:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22, approximately 4,400 co-op members were without power, down from a peak of more than 20,000 on Thursday.

Electric co-ops prepare for weather-related outages
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - As a winter storm bears down on Missouri, the state's electric cooperatives are prepared for impending inclement weather, including the possibility of damaging ice. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for nearly the entire state in effect from Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon. Snow, sleet and freezing rain are all possibilities.

Storms pound electric southern Missouri electric cooperatives
Missouri’s electric cooperatives are returning to normal operations in the wake of a violent storm that roared through the southern half of the state. Electric cooperatives across the Ozarks reported damage and power outages ranging from 400 at New-Mac Electric Cooperative to more than 7,000 at hard-hit White River Valley Electric Cooperative in Branson.

A dozen electric cooperatives across southern Missouri are once again restoring power in the wake of a winter storm that dumped heavy ice on their lines and caused about 29,000 members to lose power. The Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives again enacted its Emergency Assistance Program to send assistance to the three electric cooperatives hit the hardest.
