KERRVILLE, TX (June 29, 2021) – Schreiner University announced today that incoming freshman, Cole Wiechring, has received scholarships from Schreiner totaling $80,000.00 to be distributed over four academic years. Cole graduated from Pleasanton High School in Pleasanton.

Schreiner believes that students should be rewarded for their school and community involvement, resilience, tenacity, and character. Schreiner uses indicators of involvement, work and volunteerism, leadership, and recognition for admissions and scholarship decisions. The grittier a student is, the more financial aid they will receive from Schreiner. Being a good student in high school is important, but a good student is measured by more than grades and scores on an entrance exam. According to Danielle Jenschke, Director of Admissions, “Cole has demonstrated characteristics that indicate that he is a good fit for Schreiner and, we are excited that Cole has decided to make Schreiner his college home.”

Scholarships are still available for Fall 2021. To learn more about Schreiner University, please visit www.schreiner.edu.
