Colorado Springs natives receive music education degrees from Adams State University
ALAMOSA, CO. (January 16, 2023) – Carlos David Daniel Gonzalez and Laura Rosenbeck, Colorado Springs, Colo., graduated from Adams State University during the Fall 2022 Commencement Ceremony on December 17, 2022. Gonzalez received a Bachelor of Arts in music education and Rosenbeck also earned a bachelor’s degree in performance. Adams State awarded 275 degrees at the ceremony.
Gonzalez graduated Cum Laude. “I am extremely pleased to have chosen Adams State.”
After graduation, Gonzalez is planning to perform and compose and look for a music education position in the Colorado Springs area. Eventually he plans on applying to a master’s program with the goal of earning a doctorate and teaching in higher education.
After an initial visit to Adams State, Rosenbeck said it felt like home. She plans to continue substitute teaching in the Colorado Springs area. “My professors were a key factor to helping me achieve my goals.”
Rosenbeck and Gonzalez were active in National Association for Music Educators (NAfME) and held official positions in the organization. “I was able to grow into an educator and a leader,” Rosenbeck said.
Gonzalez was also active in the Adams State Music Educators Society (ASMES). “I graduated with honors and became a respected musician, student, and vocalists among peers and professors.”
