Goffstown Resident Awarded Graduate Fellowships

MANCHESTER, N.H. (September 15, 2021) – Saint Anselm College graduate Janelle Fassi of Goffstown, N.H., was awarded fellowships from two national honor societies. The Alpha Lambda Delta Dr. Louise McBee Graduate Fellowship, named in honor of Dr. McBee for her leadership and great service to the Society and the model she consistently presented for the profession of higher education administration and education. Fassi also received the Delta Epsilon Sigma Fitzgerald Fellowship for her scholastic achievement, leadership and service activities.

Fassi, a communication and psychology major in the class of 2021, was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta, the national honor society that recognizes academic excellence, in 2018. In 2020 she was inducted into Delta Epsilon Sigma, a national Catholic scholastic honor society. She will pursue a Ph.D. in gerontology at the University of Massachusetts Boston and hopes to pursue health policy and work to help better the lives of older adults in the nation.

Alpha Lambda Delta was founded in 1924, has over a million lifetime members and is present on 280 campuses nationwide. Delta Epsilon Sigma was founded in 1939 to recognize academic excellence, to foster scholarly activities, and to encourage a sense of intellectual community among its members.
