Columbia College celebrates America Recycles Day Nov. 15

WHO: Columbia College Sustainability Committee and student group Environmentally Conscious Organization (ECO)

WHAT: The committee and ECO will present information on recycling at Columbia College and at home. There will also be a display of one month's worth of recycling rescued from the trash.

WHEN: 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday, Nov. 15

WHERE: Atkins-Holman Student Commons, Columbia College, Columbia, Mo.

America Recycles Day, first started in 1997, is a national day of recycling awareness sponsored by corporate and environmental entities to encourage Americans to recycle and buy recycled products. Event organizers say Columbia College's event is one of nearly 2,000 events nationwide.
