Columbia College instructor appointed to education advisory council
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Columbia College's Linda Bradley, education instructor, has been appointed to the Missouri Advisory Council of Certification for Educators (MACCE) by the MACCE board.
"I am honored to be appointed to MACCE," said Bradley. "I am looking forward to representing private colleges and advising on adolescent literacy, student teaching and clinical experiences."
The mission of MACCE is to be a proactive and visible advocate for learners in Missouri through educator certification, to promote a vision of professionalism in teaching and communicate with various education stakeholders.
Bradley holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, and a master's degree in education from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond. Bradley is currently pursuing her doctorate in education from North Central University in Prescott, Ariz.
Bradley is also a member of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) coalition to write the new state literacy plan. She is an adolescent literacy and fluency consultant. Prior to this appointment, she served on a national assessment committee for the U.S. Department of Education where she represented Missouri DESE on the topic of adolescent literacy. Prior to teaching at Columbia College, Bradley taught at the University of Missouri and worked for Columbia Public Schools in a variety of roles.
