Market to Market Special Edition Remembers Mark Pearson

Special edition of the program looks back at the life and career of the long-time host

(Johnston, Iowa)- The next episode of Market to Market, the weekly journal of rural America, will be a departure from the program's usual format. This week's episode will be dedicated to a look back at the life, career, and influence of longtime host Mark Pearson, who died earlier this week at the age of 54.

This special episode will pay tribute to Mark's lifelong commitment to agriculture, family, and Iowa. Mark's story is told through historical footage and his own words, using video and audio clips from his long broadcasting career.

Market analysts who have appeared on the series over the years will return to the set for a discussion of Mark's important impact on rural America.

Mark hosted Market to Market for more than 20 years, in addition to a full career as a farmer, advisor, analyst, speaker, and radio broadcaster. Mark's unique blend of expertise and humor made him a popular figure with those who knew him, watched him, and listened to his radio broadcasts.

In Iowa, Market to Market will air Friday, June 8 at 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 10 at 12:30 p.m. The program will also be available online beginning Saturday morning at www.iptv.org/mtom.
