Exciting Special Children's Book Signing Event at Barnes & Noble Jordan Creek, West Des Moines Saturday, October 20, 2pm-4pm by published Iowa author Barbara G. Carroll and illustrator Ann Dekker Wolf

DES MOINES, IOWA-College roommates at the University of Iowa and friends for over 40 years, Barbara G. Carroll, author and Ann Dekker Wolf, illustrator have collaborated on writing and illustrating children's books to help benefit select charities with a portion of their book sales.

Already released are "Harry, the Mouse Who Lived In My Car," the story of a mouse who lives in one messy car, but that works out perfectly for him. With soft laundry to sleep in and cheese puffs for dinner, Harry is living the good life until the car's owner discovers him on the floorboards.

Readers learn if Harry and the driver can learn to coexist, or if Harry will get the boot in this engaging story.

"Valentine, a purr-fect kitty" is Barbara G. Carroll's second children's book in print. Valentine is a cat, and she finds a new home with Mr. and Mrs. Bee. As she explores her new home, she makes interesting discoveries about her new home-there is delicious food, and it is fun to make believe Mr. Bee is another cat and pounce on him! Prowl along with Valentine in her curious tale.

Carroll is an educator of 30 years, with a B.S. degree in Psychology and an M.A. in Education. She runs a successful Sylvan Learning Center in Chicago. Wolf has a B.F.A. degree in art and design from the University of Iowa and non-profit leadership and certifications from Iowa State University, Greater Des Moines Community Foundation Leadership Program. Currently, Ann Wolf is Executive Director of Camp Hertko Hollow, Iowa's camp for kids with diabetes. Both Barbara G.
