Six Columbia College-Jefferson City students inducted into Sigma Beta Delta
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., October 17, 2012 - Columbia College - Jefferson City students Valerie Schmidt (California, MO), Clyde Stith (Jefferson City), Rhonda Lutman (Jefferson City), Jason Henderson (Jefferson City), Shelley Higgins (Tipton) and Walter 'Ken' Sinclair (Barnett) have been inducted into the Columbia College Chapter of Sigma Beta Delta international honor society. A formal induction ceremony was held on October 11 at Columbia College.
Membership in this honored chapter is reserved for juniors and seniors who rank in the top 15 percent of their class with at least a 3.5 GPA and have completed at least 30 credit hours at Columbia College toward their business administration degree. Sigma Beta Delta exists to encourage and recognize scholarship and achievement among students of business.
"We are proud to honor these outstanding students and recognize their academic excellence," Becky Bocklage, director of Columbia College-Jefferson City said. "Our business administration program serves our students very well as they prepare to apply their degrees in their chosen career paths."
Columbia College-Jefferson City was established in 1974 at the National Guard Armory and started serving the civilian population in 1982. The campus has resided at its current location on Emerald Lane since 2000, and continues to serve civilian and military adult learners in the Jefferson City area. Columbia College-Jefferson City offers seven associate degrees and seven bachelor's degrees on campus in addition to 23 online associate, bachelor's and master's degrees.
