Two New Partner Sites Join Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area
Northeast Iowa - Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area (SSNHA) is proud to welcome two new Partner Sites to the Heritage Area. There are now 112 Partner Sites designated to interpret and preserve their own unique part of America's agricultural story in this 37-county region of Northeast Iowa. New Partner Sites include:
Strawberry Hill Farm & Garden, Strawberry Point. The 11-acre farm features a working dairy goat farm, along with a variety of other farm animals. Guided farm tours are offered year round and provide valuable learning experience about farm life in a fun and safe environment.
Dubuque Museum of Art, Dubuque. The museum provides exceptional exhibitions from national, regional and local artists; as well as programs and classes for people of all ages. Visitors discover the world's largest collections of artwork by Grant Wood, photogravures by Edward S. Curtis' of The North American Indian and other artwork that expresses the essence of Eastern Iowa's rural heritage.
"We are excited to work with these two new Partner Sites, they both have great agricultural stories that help define the region," stated Candy Streed, SSNHA Program & Partnership Director.
If you are interested in learning more about the process to become a Partner Site, please visit the Partner section at www.silosandsmokestacks.org.
