"With today's market volatility and weather challenges, it is important to have up-to-date information," says Carrie Dodds, ICGA/ICPB grower service representative. "The crop fair program should give local growers access to information that can really help their bottom line."
Sponsors of the crop fair include: Boone and Greene County Extension, Crop Protection Services, Iowa Corn Growers Association and Iowa Corn Promotion Board.
For questions or to RSVP by February 13th, contact Boone County Extension, 515-432-3882 or email email@example.com or Greene County Extension, 515-386-2138 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The ICGA and ICPB work with local sponsors each winter to provide crop fairs across the state. The programs are intended to give producers free and direct access to timely information on issues facing Iowa agriculture. A complete list of 2013 crop fairs is available on the Iowa Corn website at www.iowacorn.org.
The ICPB directs the investment of Iowa corn checkoff funds to develop and defend markets, fund research, and provide education about corn and corn products. The ICGA is amembership organization, lobbying on agricultural issues on behalf of its over 7,000 farmer members.
