IOWA SPORTS FOUNDATION
Winter Iowa Games Kick Off in Dubuque This Weekend
Youth basketball, fitness walk, youth ice hockey, indoor soccer, martial arts, 5K road race, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, wrestling and a Zumba Fitness(r) class are on the schedule of events.
The Winter Iowa Games offers individuals and teams a chance to be part of an Olympic-style sports festival competing with athletes ranging from three to 80 years old in 23 events.
Athletes still have the opportunity to register on site for the following sports in Dubuque this weekend: fitness walk, martial arts, 5K road race, wrestling and the Zumba Fitness(r) class. Please visit www.iowagames.org for specific dates and times of these events.
The 2013 Winter Iowa Games will take place in 11 communities over a four week period.
January 26 - Cedar Falls
Snowshoeing
February 1-2 - Ackley, DeWitt, Harlan and Montrose, Alpine Ski Racing - Sundown Mountain;Horseshoes - Eldora; Trapshooting; Slopestyle Event (skiing/snowboarding) - Sundown Mountain
February 9-10 - Cedar Rapids
Adult Men's Basketball, Wheelchair Basketball, Dodgeball, Figure Skating, Fitness Walk, Adult Ice Hockey and Pickleball
February 9 - Des Moines
Archery (NASP) - Johnston; Fitness Walk
February 23 - Story City
Women's 6 on 6 Basketball
