AREA STUDENTS RECEIVE KIRKWOOD SCHOLARSHIPS

Kirkwood Awards Scholarships to Area Students

Kirkwood Community College has announced scholarship awards for the upcoming academic year. The scholarships are administered by the Kirkwood Foundation and made possible through the generosity of individuals, companies and organizations who wish to invest in the future through Kirkwood student success.

The Foundation plans to award a record $2.4 million in donated and endowed support for approximately 1,300 students in the 2012-13 academic year.

Recent Kirkwood scholarship winners from this area include:

West Union:

* Nathan Weidemann was awarded the Billy Saunders Memorial Endowed Scholarship in the amount of $1000. Weidemann is the son of Kim and Deb Weidemann and is a graduate of North Fayette High School. This scholarship will support his studies in the Carpentry program.
