AREA STUDENTS RECEIVE KIRKWOOD SCHOLARSHIPS

Kirkwood Awards Scholarships to Area Students

Kirkwood Community College has announced scholarship awards for the upcoming academic year. The scholarships are administered by the Kirkwood Foundation and made possible through the generosity of individuals, companies and organizations who wish to invest in the future through Kirkwood student success.

The Foundation plans to award a record $2.4 million in donated and endowed support for approximately 1,300 students in the 2012-13 academic year.

Recent Kirkwood scholarship winners from this area include:

Columbia:

* Allison Dittmer was awarded the Area of Greatest Need for Student Assistance Scholarship in the amount of $500. Dittmer is the daughter of Phyllis and Kevin Dittmer and is a graduate of Melcher-Dallas High School. This scholarship will support her studies in the Liberal Arts program.
