IOWANS ON TRACK TO REACH WELLNESS GOALS

AMES, Iowa - February 13, 2013 - Live Healthy Iowa's 10 Week Wellness Challenge, which began Jan. 28, is in full swing as Iowans move toward their wellness goals. To date over 28,300 Iowans on 4,567 teams are tracking their weight loss and/or activity minutes in this healthy competition. Registration will remain open through March 1 for those who would still like to team up and join the challenge!

The 10 Week Wellness Challenge is a simple and affordable challenge encouraging Iowans to make healthy choices. Over the course of 10 weeks, teams (2-10 people) take part in friendly competition tracking activity minutes and/or weight loss on their personal dashboard through the Live Healthy Iowa website.

The registration fee is $20 per participant and each will receive a training T-shirt; one-year subscription to a lifestyle magazine; weekly motivational emails; personal tracking, goal setting, tools and resources; health and wellness discounts at businesses across the state; chance to win team incentives and individual prizes; and more.

The Live Healthy Iowa 10 Week Wellness Challenge works well for businesses, communities and organizations wanting to begin a wellness program or to simply enhance an existing wellness program. If the challenge will be a component of your organization's wellness program and has multiple teams participating, register your team with your assigned Group ID.
