COLUMBIA COLLEGE WINS AWARD FOR MARKETING CAMPAIGN

COLUMBIA, Mo., March 6 — Columbia College’s marketing department recently was honored at the inaugural Collegiate Advertising Awards for its “Go for Greater” campaign. Recognition was based on layout and design, creativity, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal. More than 700 entries from colleges and universities across the country were submitted.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized by the Collegiate Advertising Awards program,” said Lana Poole, executive director of marketing at Columbia College. “This campaign truly is a reflection of our mission here at Columbia College to empower students and help them realize their fullest potential.”

Columbia College earned a “silver” award in the category of total advertising campaigns, competing against colleges and organizations of similar size. Entries were judged by industry leaders and the college’s award places them in the top 16 percent in the nation for advertising excellence among collegiate institutions and organizations.

Founded in 1851 in Columbia, Mo., Columbia College has been helping students advance their lives through higher education for more than 160 years.
