KEEP IOWA BEAUTIFUL
LAMBERTI TO RECEIVE FIRST HOMETOWN PRIDE VISION AWARD
Des Moines--Don Lamberti will be honored at the inaugural Donald F. Lamberti Hometown Pride Vision Award dinner on March 25. Mr. Lamberti and Governor Robert D. Ray were the co-founding chairmen of Keep Iowa Beautiful 13 years ago. Mr. Lamberti recently retired as Founder and Chairman of the Board of Casey’s General Stores.
“With Don’s leadership KIB has made significant progress in improving the quality, beauty and cleanliness of our state,” said Kevin Techau, Chairman of the KIB Board of Directors. “For Iowa’s rural towns to survive, we need leaders like Don who will take the time and resources to build stronger communities and invest in them.”
The Donald F. Lamberti Hometown Pride Vision Award will be presented annually to an Iowan that believes that a community’s cultural health and economic vitality are dependent on the image a community presents to its residents and visitors.
The fund raising dinner benefiting KIB is scheduled for The Meadows Events and Conference Center in Altoona. Individual tickets are $75 and can be purchased at www.keepiowabeautiful.com
