DES MOINES, Iowa - April 24, 2013 - Live Healthy Iowa will announce the 2013 Cup Challenge winners at a press conference held today at 3:30 p.m. in the State Capitol Rotunda. Governor Branstad, Lt. Governor Reynolds and Cup Challenge co-chairs, Steve Lacy and Bill Leaver, will be present to award the coveted traveling trophies to representatives from the winning companies, community and school.

In 2012, Live Healthy Iowa added a Corporate and Community Cup Challenge in effort to take the healthy competition outside an individual employer and raise the competition among Iowa's companies and communities. This year the challenge was expanded to include Iowa's schools, encouraging students and staff to take steps to better health.

Business leaders Steve Lacy, CEO of Meredith Corporation, and Bill Leaver, President and CEO of UnityPoint Health, once again teamed up to support healthy change in Iowa and agreed to co-chair the 2013 Cup Challenges as part of Live Healthy Iowa's annual wellness challenge.

This year 272 companies, 38 communities and 21 schools competed for the coveted traveling trophy in their respective divisions.
