2nd Annual Fall Wine Tasting to Benefit the Nebraska Kidney Association Sept. 8
Mac's Creek will be hosting the 2nd Annual Fall Wine Tasting to Benefit the Nebraska Kidney Association on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Mac’s Creek Vineyards & Winery is family owned and operated by the McFarlands and is located one-half mile north of Lexington, Nebraska on U.S. Highway 21. The twelve-acre vineyard lies along the banks of the beautiful Spring Creek. Our first planting season was in the spring of 2000. Ten different types of grapes, including red and white varieties will be used to create our wines. It is the commitment of the McFarland family to produce quality Nebraska wines for all to share.
Guests will enjoy appetizers, wine and conversations. Richard Johnson, Vice President, Homestead Bank in Lexington and Board President of the Nebraska Kidney Association along with his wife Connie are the event Chairs.
Richard shared, “The Mac's Creek Wine Tasting is a fantastic event with great people, great wine and great food. It is a fun event and guests really enjoy the openness and free-style of the wine tasting and are very relaxed about asking questions. The funds help a worthy organization, so tasting wines can help save lives!”
Tickets are $25 each purchased at the door.
Serving Nebraska for over 44 years, the mission of the Nebraska Kidney Association is to improve the lives of all Nebraskans through advocacy, education, early disease detection and patient services. Over 300,000 Nebraskans have or are at risk for developing kidney disease. Nationally, kidney disease is more common than diabetes and twice as prevalent as cancer. Many who are stricken by the disease are unaware that they have it. For more information about kidney disease or the Nebraska Kidney Association, please visit www.kidneyne.org.
