DIOCESE OF DES MOINES
Catholic schools highlighted on radio show
Parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors of Catholic school students will have the chance to hear their school on the radio and vote for their favorite grade during Iowa Catholic Radio's "My School is Cool" contest.
Eleven Catholic schools in the Des Moines metro area will be featured during the "My School is Cool" promotion. Iowa Catholic Radio will be broadcasting live at each of the schools for a week from Sept. 9 - Dec. 6.
During a school's week, the school community will be invited to go online to iowacatholicradio.com and vote for their favorite grade at their school. The grade that receives the most votes wins a pizza party and "My School is Cool" t-shirts.
The first school to be highlighted will be Holy Trinity School in Des Moines during the week of Sept. 9-13. During the week, a teacher, parent, Principal Audra Meyer and Father Michael Amadeo will be interviewed.
Tune into 1150 AM, 88.5 FM or 94.5 FM from 7-8 a.m. every morning and throughout the day to hear more about the Catholic schools in the Diocese of Des Moines.
