Iowans Challenged to 'Take the Next Step'
Live Healthy Iowa helps Iowans improve fitness one step at a time
AMES, Iowa - September 9, 2013 - Live Healthy Iowa kicks off their fourth challenge of 2013 today as over 4,200 Iowans have committed to step up to wellness. The Next Step Challenge encourages teams of 2-10 friends, family or co-workers to increase the number to steps they take each day and track their progress on their personal Live Healthy Iowa dashboard. Participants have the chance to win new shoes, Subway gift cards, tickets to an Iowa State football game and more as they improve wellness and reach their fitness goals.
Throughout the six-week challenge, each team member will report their personal weekly step total in friendly competition to accumulate points and move their team up the challenge leaderboard. Registration for The Next Step Challenge is $10 per participant and each will receive a pedometer; a weekly email containing activity tips; healthy recipes and fitness inspiration; access to a personal tracking page, healthy recipes and wellness information on the Live Healthy Iowa website; opportunities to win prizes, and more!
There is still time to register for The Next Step Challenge! Iowans can visit www.livehealthyiowa.org to register their team and start tracking their steps. Registration will close September 20th.
