Iowa Donor Network ranked one of Iowa’s Top Workplaces in Iowa for 3rd straight year
North Liberty, October 17, 2013 – Iowa Donor Network has once again been named to the Des Moines Register’s list of Top Workplaces in Iowa. This is the third straight year IDN has been on the list.
“We are very excited to be on the list again this year”, explains Iowa Donor Network CEO Suzanne Conrad. “Our employees take great pride in our mission to transform lives through organ and tissue donation and being listed as a Top Workplace in Iowa validates their hard work.”
More than 18 people die every day in the United States waiting for an organ transplant. Another 1.5 million will receive a tissue transplant over the next 12 months… including 50,000 cornea recipients who will receive the gift of sight.
“Despite more and more companies applying to be a Top Workplace each year, we still managed to jump up a few spots from last year. To have over 140 employees engaged and excited about their work is incredibly satisfying. Special events such as the Campus Challenge between Iowa State, Iowa and Northern Iowa give our employees the opportunity to interact with the public while still savings lives. It’s very rewarding.”
Iowa ranks 4th overall in the nation for percentage of registered donors. IDN has helped transplant over 250 organs already this year and tissue donation has been on the rise for the last 10 years.
