ACHIEVING A MORE PROFITABLE OPERATION: 2014 Crop Fair Offers Management Information
JOHNSTON, Iowa – January 14, 2014 – This winter’s “Tools for Your Future” Crop Fair has a program designed to help local growers deal with the volatility in modern agriculture, according to organizers with the Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) and Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB). The program will be held February 4, 2014 at the Holiday Inn & Conference Center, 2609 University Blvd., Ames, Iowa. Registration begins at 8:30 AM with complimentary lunch being served at noon.
Featured presentations include: "Weather Outlook" by Elwynn Taylor, ISU Professor of Meteorology; "Iowa Corn Growers Federal & Legislative Update" by Amanda De Jong, Senior Policy Advisor at Iowa Corn; "Ag Market Outlook & Sciota Trading" by Steve Reece and Dan Greder, Sciota Trading.
"With today's market volatility and weather challenges, it is important to have up-to-date information," says Carrie Dodds, ICGA/ICPB district field manager. "The crop fair program should give local growers access to information that can really help their bottom line."
Sponsors of the crop fair include: Sciota Trading, Iowa Corn Growers Association and Iowa Corn Promotion Board.
For questions or to RSVP by January 31, 2014, contact Dan Greder at email@example.com.
