Keep Iowa Beautiful's 10th Annual Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, May 7 in Webster City. This year's Conference, "MOVING FORWARD: Creating a New home, work and where you live" will be held at the Webster City Community Theatre. The featured keynote speaker will be James T. Dittoe, author of "90 Days to a Winning Community."

Dittoe has more than 30 years' experience in community and economic development. In 1994 he founded Winning Communities, Inc. to help cities, towns and counties across America envision the future. The book is an inspirational and practical how-to guide to action planning for community leaders, including the keys to creating a Winning Community.

Workshops planned for the Conference include Art in Rural communities, Creating a New Identity, Rivers & Water Trails, Community Tree Planning, Planting & Care, Hometown Pride, K-12 Service Learning and Keep America Beautiful.

The day-long conference is a great opportunity for community leaders and volunteers to share and learn ways to build stronger communities. Early registration (before April 25) is $25 for KIB members, $35 for non-members and $10 for students. This includes lunch, breaks and conference materials.
