Winners Announced in Iowa Corn ‘Fill Up On Me’ Sweepstakes
February 25, 2014 – JOHNSTON, IA – Kathy Glosser from Altoona, IA and Cindy Goldammer from Homestead, IA are the 2 lucky winners of $1,000 in ethanol gift cards in the Iowa Corn ‘Fill Up On Me’ Sweepstakes. Kathy and Cindy each received a gift card to fill up at Kum & Go® locations in Iowa.
“The sweepstakes was great to literally pump up our ethanol use in Iowa,” said Shannon Textor, Market Development Director for Iowa Corn and the staff person responsible for ethanol marketing. “Ethanol is a home-grown fuel grown by our farmers. It is better for the environment and supports Iowa’s rural economy, so it is a win-win.”
The Iowa Corn ‘Fill Up on Me’ Sweepstakes promoted ethanol, economic development and conservation practices that Iowa farmers use on their farms, from November 15 through February 1. Over 8,000 entries were collected through promotions online, in print, on the radio and through social media messages. The promotion was to highlight Iowa Corn’s commitment to ethanol made from corn.
