YO-HO TOOLS FOR A MORE BEAUTIFUL IOWA
Des Moines- Keep Iowa Beautiful has partnered with Iowa tool manufacturer Yeoman & Company creating Yo-Ho Tools for a More Beautiful Iowa grant program. The program will permit community groups and organizations to receive grants of up to $200 in Yo-Ho quality tools to assist volunteers in clean up and beautification projects. 25 grants of up to $200 each are available on this inaugural program.
"We have been manufacturing Yo-Ho quality tools for 85 years," said Tom Yeoman, President & CEO of Monticello based Yeoman & Company. "We are pleased to partner with Keep Iowa Beautiful in providing these tool grants to help make Iowa a more attractive place to live, work and raise a family."
Eligible to apply for reimbursement of up to $200 of Yo-Ho Tools are community groups, civic organizations, local/service clubs, betterment/beautification groups, youth groups, schools and churches that are planning beautification or clean-up projects that benefit the public. Government entities like cities and counties are not eligible. Deadline for applications is Friday, March 28, 2014. Yo-Ho Tools have been manufactured by Yeoman & Company in Monticello, Iowa for over 85 years. William F. Yeoman founded the company in 1929 and his grandson, Tom Yeoman, President & CEO, now leads the company that manufactures nearly 400 standard and custom quality tools.
