Columbia College "prize patrol" to surprise Elizabeth Bishop
WHO: Admissions counselors from Columbia College will surprise Elizabeth Bishop, a student at Greenfield Community High School, with news that she has won the Columbia College Scholarship, which awards full tuition, room and board.
WHAT: To announce the winners of Columbia College's top scholarships, the college's admissions department has adopted a creative approach to this important announcement. Working with the family of the lucky student, the college's "prize patrol" surprises unsuspecting students with news that they've been selected to receive one of 10 prestigious Columbia College scholarships, which are worth full tuition, in front of their family and peers. Bishop recently participated in the college's Scholarship Day competition, which is an interview day for students to compete for institutional and endowed funds.
