Columbia College-Fort Sill to hold commencement April 25
FORT SILL, Okla., April 24- Columbia College-Fort Sill will recognize graduates at a military graduation celebration Friday, April 25, at 5 p.m. in Kerwin Auditorium in Fort Sill, Okla.
Brigadier General Christopher Bentley will be the featured speaker. Mike Lederle, assistant dean for Military and Federal Programs, will represent Columbia College. Other higher education institutions that will take part in the ceremony include: American Military University, Ashford University, Cameron University, Central Texas College, Columbia Southern University, Excelsior College, University of Oklahoma, Upper Iowa University, Wayland Baptist College and Webster University.
"We are pleased to honor our students' achievements," said Lederle. "The road to higher education is not easy, and commencement is a fantastic opportunity for our students and their families to celebrate this milestone."
Columbia College-Fort Sill was established in 2007 to meet the higher education needs of the personnel at one of the Army's largest installations and to serve the civilian population in one of the state's most thriving and fastest growing cities. Columbia College-Fort Sill offers a Bachelor of General Studies on campus as well as 27 associate, bachelor's and master's degrees online.
