Columbia College-Denver to hold commencement April 26

CENTENNIAL, Colo., April 24- Columbia College-Denver will recognize graduates at a commencement ceremony Saturday, April 26, at 2:30 p.m. at the Double Tree Hotel in Denver, Colo. Gary Oedewaldt, associate dean for Adult Higher Education, will give the commencement address and Rene Massey, associate dean for Adult Higher Education, will confer the degrees. Mark Baisley '93, Columbia College Trustee, will provide the alumni charge.

"We are pleased to honor our students' achievements," said Oedewaldt. "The road to higher education is not easy, and commencement is a fantastic opportunity for our students and their families to celebrate this milestone."

Established in Denver in 1975, the campus moved to Aurora in 1979 after enrollments outpaced available space. In the early years, the campus served active duty military personnel at Lowry Air Force Base and Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center, plus retired military and corporate students from major companies in the area. The campus relocated to Centennial in 2012, where it continues to serve adult learners in the Denver area. Columbia College-Denver offers five associate degrees, six bachelor's degrees and one master's degree program on campus as well as 23 associate, bachelor's and master's degrees online.
