Columbia College-Los Alamitos to hold commencement May 31

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., May 30- Columbia College-Los Alamitos will recognize graduates at a commencement ceremony Saturday, May 31, at 2 p.m. aboard the Queen Mary, Long Beach, Calif.

Faye Burchard, dean for Student Affairs at Columbia College, will give the commencement address. Rene Massey, associate dean for Adult Higher Education will confer the degrees.

"We are pleased to honor our students' achievements," said Massey. "The road to higher education is not easy, and commencement is a fantastic opportunity for our students and their families to celebrate this milestone."

Columbia College-Los Alamitos was established in 1997 by invitation of the California Army National Guard. Today it continues to serve civilian and military adult learners in the greater Los Angeles area and Orange County. Columbia College-Los Alamitos offers three associate and four bachelor's degree programs in-seat as well as 27 associate, bachelor's and master's degrees online.
