Iowa Sports Foundation Tabs Hannah Lundeen to Lead Adaptive Sports Iowa

AMES, Iowa. (January 14,2019) – The Iowa Sports Foundation has hired Hannah Lundeen as Adaptive Sports Iowa Coordinator. In that role, she will lead all facets of Adaptive Sports Iowa (ASI) including wheelchair basketball, sled hockey, beep baseball and the only adaptive RAGBRAI team that supports riders with a physical disability.

Lundeen is a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist and has recently served as Activity Director at
Southridge Specialty Care in Marshalltown. Her experience includes working for the Adaptive Sports Center in Colorado and as a service provider at The Respite Connection in Urbandale for more than six years.

“Hannah bring enthusiasm, passion and leadership skills to our Adaptive Sports Iowa position” stated Iowa Sports Foundation CEO, Chuck Long. “She has been devoted to working with individuals with disabilities and we’re excited to have her on board”.

Adaptive Sports Iowa has been providing sports and recreation opportunities for Iowans with physical disabilities and visual impairment since 2011. Programs, events and activities include wheelchair basketball, sled hockey, downhill skiing, track and field, beep baseball, goalball, air gun for veterans and the only supported adaptive RAGBRAI Team.
