MATT SILVIUS, DVM INSTALLED AS 2023 PRESIDENT OF THE MISSOURI VETERINARY MEDICAL ASSOCIATION
(February 6, 2023) – Dr. Matt Silvius, Riverside, Mo. was installed as president at the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association’s (MVMA) Annual Convention held January 26-29 at the Holiday Inn Executive Center, Columbia, Mo.
As president, Dr. Silvius will preside at all MVMA general membership meetings, serve as chair of the Board of Governors, be an ex-officio member of all MVMA committees, and report to the Executive Board on matters pertaining to the goals of the association.
Dr. Matt Silvius was raised on a swine and cattle farm in Turney, MO. He graduated magna cum laude in 2007 from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Silvius is a co-owner of Eagle Animal Hospital, a multi-site, eight doctor small animal hospital.
Dr. Silvius has previously served two 3-year terms on the Board of the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association and is a recognized national leader in veterinary technology development. He is CEO and Co-Founder of the Independent Veterinary Network (IVN), one of the nation’s leading virtual veterinary technology companies. He is also a member of the KCVMA and AVMA.
The Missouri Veterinary Medical Association is the society for veterinarians in the state, dedicated to maintaining the highest standards for professionalism and ethics in animal health care in Missouri. The association was founded to help the veterinarian better serve the welfare of animals and their owners.
