NEW FEEL-GOOD BOOK FOCUSES ON LOVE, FAMILY MEMORIES AND GRACE
BLOOMFIELD, IA (September 7, 2018) – A new children’s book is now available at local retailers and online. “Grandpa’s Grace”, written by Iowa native Ashley Morton, is a feel-good story about family bonds. Beautifully illustrated with watercolor art by Kay Church, the images and text portray nostalgic recollections of the bond between a young girl and her grandfather.
I wanted to write a story that was relatable and had the potential to touch the hearts of my readers. This story is dear to me and highlights aspects of our bonds to family members of which we may not be consciously aware. My goal is to share experiences and emotions as a way to connect to readers and help them connect to their loved ones.
Ashley Morton is a strong, independent, accomplished woman who, no matter what is thrown at her, rises above. Her faith in God has made her who she is today. Her purpose for writing children’s books is to inspire the love of reading in kids’ hearts by offering relatable stories. Grandpa’s Grace is Morton’s first project but undoubtedly not her last. Ashley’s own beloved Grandpa was her inspiration to follow her dreams and passion.
Ms. Morton is a graduate of Indian Hills Community College, obtaining an Associate of Arts degree. She is always working to improve herself and further her education (whether through additional college classes or self-guided education); she believes education is something nobody can ever take from you!
