KERRVILLE, TX (June 29, 2021) – Schreiner University announced today that incoming freshman, Sarah Hernandez has received scholarships from Schreiner totaling $92,000.00 to be distributed over four academic years. Sarah graduated from Presbyterian Pan Am School in Kingsville and will be involved in Choir while at Schreiner.
Schreiner believes that students should be rewarded for their school and community involvement, resilience, tenacity, and character. Schreiner uses indicators of involvement, work and volunteerism, leadership, and recognition for admissions and scholarship decisions. The grittier a student is, the more financial aid they will receive from Schreiner. Being a good student in high school is important, but a good student is measured by more than grades and scores on an entrance exam. According to Danielle Jenschke, Director of Admissions, “Sarah has demonstrated characteristics that indicate she is a good fit for Schreiner and, we are excited Sarah has decided to make Schreiner her college home.”
Scholarships are still available for Fall 2021. To learn more about Schreiner University, please visit schreiner.edu.
