Trees Forever honors No Boundaries Middle School with 2021 Outstanding Youth Project Award

MARION, Iowa (September 21, 2021) – The No Boundaries Middle School in Okoboji, Iowa has been named a recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Youth Project Award by Trees Forever.

Becky Rients, instructor with No Boundaries Middle School, received the award at a celebration held September 8th in Iowa City. Trees Forever leaders cited the group for being student led and for designing a tree and shrub project from inception to planting.

“The students at No Boundaries Middle School are absolutely amazing. From selecting species to planning the planting to getting them delivered and planted, these students took charge and led the project from start to finish” said Jeff Jensen, Program Manager with Trees Forever.

Every year, Trees Forever recognizes outstanding volunteers, environmental stewards, partners and advocates at Trees Forever’s Annual Celebration and Awards Dinner.

“Trees Forever volunteers love their communities and the landscapes of Iowa and Illinois and they are committed to leaving a better, greener world to future generations,” Trees Forever President and CEO Kiley Miller said.
