FULTON, Mo. (June 6, 2025) – Kenneth R. Burton of Katy, Texas, received the Westminster’s prestigious Alumni Achievement Award on April 12.
The Alumni Achievement Award honors alumni whose accomplishments reflect the Westminster mission and who have distinguished themselves through personal achievements, professional achievements and/or have made significant contributions to society.
A member of the Class of 1965, and member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, Burton graduated from Westminster with a degree in biology.
Burton is a U.S. Army Reserve veteran, legal professional and humanitarian whose career has impressively spanned military service, corporate law and global mission work. He served as an operations officer for the 31st Hospital Center in Philadelphia and was later appointed as a mobilization designee by the U.S. Army Department of Defense, with worldwide medical operations under his jurisdiction at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.
He is noted for creating the first political action committee for corporations, a precedent-setting initiative upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court that reshaped the landscape of American politics. His expertise in energy law further solidified his professional legacy.
Over the years, Burton has spearheaded global health initiatives that have provided medical aid, polio vaccinations and access to clean drinking water in remote villages worldwide.
