DES MOINES, Iowa (July 30, 2026) — The Iowa Chamber Alliance proudly announces that two members were named 2026 Chambers of the Year by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, earning the chamber industry’s highest national honor. The Greater Des Moines Partnership was named 2026 Chamber of the Year in category four, and the Greater Mason City Chamber of Commerce was named 2026 Chamber of the Year in category one.
“The Iowa Chamber Alliance is incredibly proud to celebrate the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Greater Mason City Chamber of Commerce for being named 2026 Chambers of the Year by ACCE,” said Dustin Miller, executive director of the Iowa Chamber Alliance.
“This recognition reflects the exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment that the staff at both organizations demonstrate every day on behalf of their businesses and communities. Their success highlights the strength of Iowa’s chamber network and the vital role chambers play in driving economic growth and creating opportunities. We congratulate both organizations on this well-deserved honor.”
Chamber of the Year is an annual competition hosted by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. The competition involves a three-stage process that includes benchmarking, application, and interview. Applicants must score above average in three of the five categories of the Dynamic Chamber Benchmarking survey, which includes member retention, dollar retention, net income, net assets, and current ratio. Winners are announced in each of four budget-based categories.
“Chambers of commerce are helping communities navigate change, solve complex challenges and create new opportunities,” said ACCE President & CEO Sheree Anne Kelly. “This year’s Chamber of the Year winners exemplify bold leadership, innovation and measurable impact. Their work is strengthening regional economies and positioning their communities for long-term success.”
