ShamROCK THE HOUSE!

Buy a McDonald’s Shamrock Shake or an OREO Shamrock McFlurry and help families at Ronald McDonald Houses
MN & Western WI owner/operators have donated nearly $840,000 since 2014

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (March 6, 2024) – For the eleventh straight year, owner/operators of 225 participating McDonald’s restaurants in Minnesota, western Wisconsin and Ironwood, Michigan will “ShamROCK THE HOUSE!” by donating 25 cents (.25) of each Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry purchased from March 7-17 to the six (6) Ronald McDonald House facilities in Minnesota.

The Ronald McDonald House is a home-away-from-home for families who must travel hundreds of miles or more to seek medical treatment for their kids. The House keeps families close to the medical care and support they need during a child’s serious illness. Families stay for free and receive daily, freshly prepared, home-cooked meals, access to free laundry services, children’s activities and more.

“We’re always proud to support our Ronald McDonald Houses, where families stay together during the most difficult time of their lives,” said owner/operator and McDonald’s Minnesota Co-Op president Melissa Kennedy. “We’re truly grateful for our customers’ support of this wonderful cause.”

This is the eleventh consecutive year that the area’s local McDonald’s owner/operators have had a Shamrock Shake fundraiser to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities’ (RMHC) Minnesota chapters. Since 2014, McDonald’s and its owner/operators in Minnesota, western Wisconsin and Ironwood, Michigan have donated nearly $840,000.

Others include Round Up for RMHC, where customers can ’round up’ their purchases to the next highest dollar; another is the restaurant canister program, where customers who elect to donate their change can place it in canisters at the counter and drive-thru.
